An Acloset alternative with no ads and one simple price.

Acloset is a capable closet app. At the time of writing it is free for up to 100 items, offers AI outfit suggestions, has a community, and runs on iPhone and Android. Paid tiers start around $3.99 a month and go up to around $24.99 a month depending on how big your closet is.

Some reviews mention two things: ads in the free tier, and outfit suggestions that start to repeat. Cotton was built around exactly those two complaints, so this page explains how it differs, and when Acloset is still the right choice.

Free tiers and pricing

Acloset’s free tier is more generous on size: 100 items versus Cotton’s 40. The trade-off is ads. Its paid plans scale with closet size, so a large wardrobe costs more each month.

Cotton has no ads at any tier. Every feature is free up to 40 pieces. Pro removes the limit for $2.99 a month, $19.99 a year, or $39.99 once, whatever the size of your closet.

Outfit suggestions

Acloset’s AI outfit suggestions are a headline feature. Some reviewers find they repeat after a while, which is a common problem when a recommender learns what you like and keeps serving it.

Cotton’s Today screen gives you one outfit a day from your own closet, and deliberately favors pieces you haven’t worn lately. Tap a piece to keep it and shuffle the rest. The goal is less “what’s new” and more “what have I forgotten I own”.

Adding clothes and privacy

In Cotton, each piece is cut out on your phone with Apple Vision in about a second. You can add up to 30 photos at once, and several pieces in one shot are separated for you. The color is measured from the photo, and your clothes are never redrawn unless you choose Studio polish.

There is no account. Your closet is stored on the phone and in its backup, and analytics are anonymous. Insights, including cost per wear and your most-worn pieces, are free for everyone.

What Cotton doesn’t do

Cotton has no Android app, no web app, no social feed, and no shopping or affiliate links. If any of those matter to you, one of the other apps here will suit you better.

Who should pick which
